Terms of Deposit

Clear terms for hosted and indexed scholarly works.

These terms explain how journals and scholarly materials are submitted, hosted, indexed, and maintained on AfriJournals.

Ownership & Copyright

Authors, editors, journals, institutions, and original publishers retain ownership of their submitted works. By submitting content to AfriJournals, the submitting party grants AfriJournals permission to host, index, organize, display, and preserve the submitted metadata and files for discovery purposes.

Submission Responsibility

The submitting editor, publisher, institution, or representative is responsible for ensuring that submitted materials are accurate, authorized, and ethically cleared for indexing or hosting. AfriJournals is not responsible for false authorship, plagiarism, copyright disputes, or inaccurate research claims supplied by submitters.

Metadata & Public Discovery

Submitted metadata, including article titles, abstracts, keywords, authors, affiliations, citations, and journal details may be made publicly available to support indexing, search visibility, citation, and academic discovery.

File Review & Processing

AfriJournals may review, rename, organize, and structure submitted files for consistency. Poorly formatted, incomplete, scanned, unclear, or unauthorized materials may be delayed, returned for correction, or rejected.

Withdrawal & Correction

AfriJournals may correct metadata, update records, or remove content found to be plagiarized, predatory, unauthorized, misleading, or in violation of academic, legal, or ethical standards. Requests for corrections or withdrawals should be sent through the contact page.

Service Continuity

AfriJournals works to maintain stable access to indexed materials, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability at all times. The platform may update its structure, policies, indexing methods, or technical systems as needed to improve reliability and discovery.
