Nigeria is a great nation endowed with abundant human and natural resources; unfortunately, the majority of its population is plagued by abject poverty due to unemployment and the non-implementation of entrepreneurship education and skill acquisition in visual arts at various levels of academic endeavour. Therefore, the study aims at creating proper awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship education and skill acquisition in visual arts for sustainable human capital development. The researcher employed a qualitative method of research, and both primary and secondary sources of data were used. It revealed that ignorance, incompetence, bad governance and the non-implementation of necessary policies in the country constitute impediments that hamper the development structure of the nation. The study recommends that government should do the needful to revitalise all the sectors that promote sustainable human capital development, such as entrepreneurship education and skill acquisition; this will be a major stride towards utmost nation building.
